Tigers Win over Scottsdale Prep 10/28/11
Country boys beat the City boys

A Team sport~ Dedication, teamplayer, responsibility, committment, character...

We were Sad to see football season end, we had alot of fun going to all the games. Colton and Cameron's team had a good season, 6 wins and 2 losses. At the end of season football party Colton got named teams most valuable blocker. Cameron's coach was impressed how many tackles he got in the season, one the teams best tacklers, coach mentioned what great players the boys are.

Cyr had a great Season, his team went 7-1, and Beat Scottsdale in the quarter finals. An interesting game, Scottsdale started out better and at one point in the game we were down by 18 points, halftime we were all nervous, the Tigers made an awesome comeback and were able to win 48-68. It was great to see them win that game, they have worked so hard. Now the Tigers had a BIG week ahead of them, they would be practicing for Semi-finals the next Friday in Prescott. The week was full of anticipation for the players and the fans, this was the first time in 10 years the Tigers had made it to Semi-finals, the Tigers Dream was to win State. The Team left on Friday and had a practice in phoenix on turf, a bunch of country boys never played on turf. That night they went up to Prescott to get ready for the big game the next day. The team not only had to prepare to play a tough game they had to prepare for the weather. When we got to Prescott it had snowed that night and there was still snow on the ground, it was 38 during the game, I think all of St. David came to support their Team. The Tigers played against Phoenix Christian and lost, it was a big loss on the feild, but in the hearts of all the fans,we knew they had played the best they could and we were all very proud the Tigers made it that far. The Tigers had a far from losing season, they played well all season. Cyr being a starter on the Varsity his Sophmore year had a great year to say the least, those boys played their hearts out and became closer friends and teammates. Relationships and memories that will stay with them forever.
